SELA CULTURAL CENTER

The SELA Cultural Center will be a multi-arts facility that weaves together world-class design and high-caliber programming from across Los Angeles County with the vibrant culture of the surrounding community.

The SELA Cultural Center will support and showcase the Southeast Los Angeles community and provide a permanent place for the community to gather in creative expression.

OUR PROCESS

The SELA Cultural Center Core Project Team was selected following an open RFP process led by the San Gabriel & Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

As a direct reflection of the SELA community, the development of both the site and the programming of the SELA Cultural Center will be heavily influenced by a comprehensive community engagement effort.

RMC SMALL GRANTS PROGRAM

Next Call-for-Projects Anticipated Fall 2020.

This is an open call for projects for grant applications which started July 20, 2020. The Small Grants Program is being prompted by the expressed need from many communities, NGOs, municipalities, and agencies to support more environmental and economic revitalization efforts that are being delayed and worsened by the pandemic crisis. RMC is seeking to make RMC grants and technical assistance more accessible and useable, especially by and for high-need and very high-need communities.

RMC PROPOSITION 68

Next Call-for-Projects Anticipated Fall 2020

Proposition 68 authorizes $4 billion in general obligation bonds to finance a drought, water, parks, climate, coastal protection, and outdoor access for all program. This grant opportunity specifically aims to fund a project that advances solutions to prevent displacement if a potential unintended consequence associated with park creation pursuant to the project is an increase in the cost of housing. *Applications will now be accepted digitally (with digital signature)

RMC's PROPOSITION 68 LOWER LOS ANGELES RIVER GRANTS PROGRAM

Program has an On-Going Call for Projects

This ongoing call for projects focuses specifically on funding for projects located along the Lower LA River, using Proposition 68 funds administered by Conservancy. Projects within the Lower Los Angeles River corridor, defined in the Lower LA River Revitalization Plan as within 1-mile of the river, will mostly fall within the River/Tributary Parkways Program Area. Email questions to: Prop68@rmc.ca.gov
